Olympics Project Manager/Designer
Relocated to London for 10 months to oversee largest contract and installation project in company’s history. Managed local project managers, warehousing and labour subcontractors, and nearly doubled original contract value through regular renegotiation with London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG).
· Managed 10 month project supplying more than 2,000,000 sq/ft temporary flooring and roadways to 25 venues, including the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games.
· Worked closely with LOCOG venue and contract managers, overlay suppliers, and Signature project managers to determine product, equipment, and labor requirements, quantities, and installation/extraction schedules.
· Managed work and information traffic between LOCOG, venue, and Signature personnel and subcontractors.
· Created AutoCAD overlays of proposed installations, used to negotiate quantities and layout with venue managers and LOCOG, and facilitate planning and installation.
· Secured full accreditation for more than 200 employees and subcontractors through construction, Games time, transition, Paralympics Games time, and extraction phases.
